Our stay experience in this hotel far exceeded our expectations! Every one was friendly and accommodating. I would like to personally thank Achilles for the excellent service and hospitality! Me and my friends felt at home the moment we arrived at the hotel and was served with coca tea. Buffet breakfast was great as well! I miss the fresh passion fruit juice!

I am the owner of a tour company and just returned from bringing a group of 13 to Peru. I stayed at Marqueses for five nights (the group was there for three nights). The entire staff of the hotel was extremely accommodating to our every desire. They absolutely couldn't have been more gracious and welcoming. The location is great - only a couple of blocks from Plaza de Armas and within walking distance to everything. The hotel has a wonderfully authentic feel to it with colonial furnishings - you don't feel that you are staying at an ordinary chain hotel. You truly feel like you are in Old Peru with two intimate courtyards - an oasis in the city. The group agreed that the Marqueses was one of their favorite accommodations of the entire trip. I highly recommend this lovely hotel and will be bringing another group back in May. Thank you for everything!

No es habitual topar con un lugar tan especial y ni mucho menos con un equipo de personas que muestren verdadera preocupación por el bienestar de sus huéspedes. Este es el caso del hotel Marqueses. La arquitectura y ambientación es palaciega e impresionante con sus puertas en madera labrada y alcobas con techos altísimos. Pero si algo tengo que resaltar es el excelente y amabilísimo personal que te hace sentir bienvenido nada mas llegar y hasta tu salida. Por resaltar una de estas personas, Javier que trabaja en recepción me dejó una importante huella por su humildad, generosidad y simpatía sincera. No es servilismo artificial, impuesto por política de empresa de algunos hoteles sino una cercanía humana que no he visto en otros sitios. La experiencia de haber estado en un lugar como este no se mide en estrellas.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. The manager David, was extremely attentive. He showed us around the rooms so we could choose the most suitable. The beds are very comfortable - I believe they are all orthopaedic beds. There is cocoa tea available at the reception - and breakfast and hotel transfers are included. The rooms are generous in size - very clean. The location is very central - close to the Plaza de Armas and shops.

We were met at the airport - we stayed a night and left the next day for a trekking trip to the Inca Trails organized by SAS Travel (they are affiliated to the hotel) and returned three days later. The Trail was excellent (way beyond my expectations)

I would fully recommend this hotel - it is absolutely suitable for honeymooners, family. A very warm ambiance - big rooms. Absolute value for money.

We visited in October 2010 and had a very enjoyable stay before and after our 4 day hike along the Inca Trail. Prior to the trip we were unsure of where we were going to spend the last leg of our adventure after leaving Cusco. Unused to the Peruvian bus system, host Miguel Ruiz kindly went out of his way to help us get bus tickets from Lima to Paracas, which was easily one of the highlights on the trip. We will always have a wonderful memories of Peru, Cusco and Hotel Marqueses.

We were very impressed with your hotel and enjoyed our stay there from November 20th to November 21st 2010 and November 25th and November 27th to November 29th,2010 It was a great convenience to be able to store our luggage in the in- between periods when we climbed the Inca trail and visited the Sacred Valley . Your staff was most courteous and helpful. We were also impressed with how many of your personnel spoke English. In particular a young man by the name of Miguel spoke fluent English and was most polite and helpful and went out of his way to help us in a number of instances which allowed us to enjoy our holiday even more.We thought we should mention Miguel specifically since employees such as he with such great command of the English language great attitude and ready to please the customers in every way are an asset to a hotel and should be recognized as such.

L'hôtel Marqueses est très bien situé, à 5 mn à pied de la Plaza de Armas. C'est un vieux palais colonial, avec beaucoup de charme et d'authenticité . Il nécessiterait néanmoins un rafraîchissement. Le personnel lui ressemble, très gentil et désuet. Nous nous y sommes très bien sentis. Attention, toutes les chambres n'ont pas de fenêtres, il faut prendre des suites (la 203 est très agréable avec 2 fenêtres sur rue).

Miguel, although new to your hotel, made every effort to find information for us and to make our stay in Cusco more enjoyable. We are English speakers and his language skills are commendable. He is a great asset to your hotel. Very personable.

Also, Achilles, in the restaurant, was great. He was on it every morning making sure our every need was met.

After spending 5 days in Argentina where I had a lot of difficulty not being able to speak spanish, it was such a relief being greeted by Miguel Ruiz upon arriving in Cuzco. He was so friendly and informative and the manner of his greeting to the Margueses Hotel assured me that my stay in Cuzco was going to be great. After only spending one night at the hotel before embarking on the Inca Trail, felt like I was coming home after the trek. This feeling was due to the warm reception of the staff. In addition to Miguel, I wish to thank Achilis for his cheerfulness at breakfast, the chef, love the omelettes, Victor and Edwin for their help with anything we asked, and all the personnel working in the background to make my stay comfortable and memorable. Based on the staff alone, I would not hesitate in recommending the hotel.

I had the most wonderful stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, nice hot showers, the decor is great, and the staff is superb!
Miguel Luiz went out of his way to make me feel welcome. I was traveling alone, but every night I felt safe and like I came home to family. He gave me good advice on Cusco and recomended some great restaurants. He really made my stay feel like a home away from home. The food was wonderful and Achilles was very warm and friendly. He really goes out of his way for every guest. My hotel transfer was there waiting for me at the airport right when I arrived. Everyone was very nice and helpful, I am only sorry that I cannot recall everyone´s name to include here. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. If I have the luck to be in Cusco again, I will certainly return to Hotel Marqueses.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Miguel, Victor, and Rocio, who not only provided us with excellent service, but amazing insights as well! I couldn’t have been happier with my stay here. We actually checked out of the hotel on Friday, 24/09/2010, to catch our flight for Arequipa. Although we had already checked in and were already waiting at the gate, due to the strike, all flights were then canceled. We knew we were going to have to stay in Cusco longer and needed a place to stay. In the midst of all the commotion at the airport, I immediately called Marqueses and Miguel helped us book a room for the next few days. He even made sure that a taxi picked us up from the airport. Thank you Miguel and Victor for all the help in getting us all settled! We had an excellent time in Cusco and the people made it even more memorable!
